West Hotel

Sadly we only stayed here for 1 night - on arrival we had been upgraded to a beautiful room overlooking the river. It was one of the largest rooms we have had in an hotel and the bathroom was enormous. The staff were very kind and helpful and made sure we had our breakfast in time to catch a taxi they had ordered for us at 6.25am. The fact the night food market was outside the front door did not put us off - in fact it was very interesting to see so many live sea creatures. We found similar markets in South Korea. A good place to stay.

Perfectly located in the midst of an active market area, yet quiet and serene. Breakfast was good, staff were very helpful. Helped us find other sites along the river, e.g., night food market, clothing sales, etc

We had stayed in a dodgy hotel the previous night so booked a deluxe room. We arrived at 12:45pm, the room was not ready so they suggest a swim in pool. Pool was a welcome relief from the heat and we ordered some cocktails that were very fairly priced. Staff came to pool at 1:30pm and said the room was ready. They apologised for the wait (was a pleasant wait really) and upgraded the room to the King Suite. Oh my what a beautiful room. Whirlpool bath (I stayed in for 2 hours), seperate large shower, hugest bed we have seen. Lots of room with lounge area. Mightily impressed. The hotel street is a market street but there was no noise in the room. Stairs at front and to basement. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was a great variety and quality. Great views of the river from the room and pool area.

As a tour leader i stay in many hotels and the West hotel is one of my favorites. Rooms are clean and spacious. The Beds are extremeley confortable. Nice swimmingpool and good brrakfast that opens at 6 am and the staff is the most helpfull and friendly from Vietnam. Top hotel !!

I didnt stay there but led one group of 5 tourist to the hotel, so dont know much about the services here but the door staff Mr. HẢO were really nice helping my tourist on carrying luggage. Recommend, thanks

I stayed at the West Hotel while working in Can Tho. The staff was so friendly, the rooms clean, quite and right outside the doors is an amazing market with very friendly people. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and the breakfast buffet was an added bonus. I recommend this hotel if you are passing through Can Tho, it's a must.

To be honest, we read some reviews about stinking fish market etc and almost cancelled the booking. SO GLAD WE DIDN'T!! We are still here and have two huge spotless rooms, with balcony overlooking the Mekong and one room with a bonus jacuzzi as well as bath and big walk in shower. The street out front is closed to cars during the day so only bikes, and it is a vibrant street market. The whole scene is fascinating to watch day and night. Beyond it is a huge covered wholesale fish and veg Market - from which I promise we haven't smelt a thing. Lovely polite, friendly and attentive staff. Good breakfast, lovely pool on 8th floor to cool off in and a fab panoramic night bar on floor 12 and the roof. You are also 2 minutes walk from the night and tourist markets, all kinds of restaurants and a boat dock from which an old lady named Miss Luan is taking the three of us on 7 hour floating markets/fruit farm/noodle factory trip at 5am tomorrow (600k dong/£12 total). Do trust the old folk offering the tours, we've come highly recommended. We booked via tripadvisor/hotels.com and for £34 room/night this place is incredible. Even had haircut and shave round corner today for £2, and ducked into a lovely dentist to check a tooth which was bothering me (filling, scale and polish for £12, and way better service than in UK) Brilliant selection of bars and good restaurants everywhere, and all the main sights in walking distance. TOTALLY TOTALLY RECOMMENDED and suggest you stay 3 nights min to start to appreciate Can Tho. Friendliest place we've been yet in Vietnam. Thanks to the whole West Hotel team.

We only had one night here but could have easily appreciated a couple more. Paying about $30 for the room, it really turned out to be such excellent value. Had a lovely river view from the room, the price included buffet breakfast, and the staff were unbelievably helpful. There was everything we needed in the room and it had a huge, comfortable bed. Location was good, especially for an evening stroll and for views from the skybar. There was a vibrant market right outside the hotel, too. The breakfast buffet had a lot of options - Vietnamese style (obviously), but even for a vegan like myself, there was quite a lot of choice. Considering what we paid for the room, we were just happy to get something!

This hotel is close to the Night markets & close to the boat boarding. we had a nice room. The Hotel has a pool with great views - be careful with young kids near the pool who can climb as it would be be easy to fall. The room & bathroom very good. we enjoyed our stay.
