Azerai Can Tho

We arrived rather frazzled and our first day was a weekend in peak-season. The place was over-run by families with small children and everybody (adults included) needed to shout! The pool was a no-go and groups of chattering tourists descended like a swarm of locusts at meal times. There was selfie-fever and every backdrop had to be photographed, sometimes with music streaming from a phone. We honestly wanted to leave. Then our neighbours children screamed and cried throughout the night, and it was the final straw. We had to ask to change rooms. You can tell the quality of place by their response to a problem. The minute they realised we weren't 100% happy, the team took full responsibility for our experience (which wasn't really their fault), relocated us and did more than was required to compensate. Then the weekend-trippers left and we got to see the place for what it really is. Hospitality is a fine art, and the team here can do it with their eyes shut. Think warm, friendly professionalism without the stuffiness. Nothing is too much and they go above and beyond to exceed your expectations over and over. It's a group of people who are proud of what they do and it shows. Anywhere else in the world, you'd be paying 3 or 4 times the room rate for the same level of attention to detail. I can't praise them enough. Then there's the hotel itself. Well, it's just stunning. The rooms are very comfortable, the common areas are well thought out and someone has paid attention to every last visual aspect - including putting lanterns out on the lawn every night! And we have to mention the food - it's fabulous. There is a chef on the premises, so recipes can be adapted and special requests fulfilled.... In the end, we wanted to extend our trip. What a turnaround, right? I think the trick is to avoid weekends in peak season, but do come here if you possibly can. Guest behaviour is not the fault of the hotel and people having a weekend away will always bring a different energy to those taking a longer vacation. Since the place is new, I'm sure it will find its balance

I can not rave about this hotel enough. It was amazing. We went with 3 kids, the rooms were beautiful and very modern. No mosquitoes or insects. They were very green and filtered all their water - which there was plenty of at no charge (I loved this!). The pool was beautiful and my daughter loved riding her bike around the property. The food was amazing and very reasonable priced. The staff were also incredible. I also loved the complimentary afternoon tea under the banyan tree. I wish we had more time at this hotel!!

We arrived in Can Tho late in the evening so were treated to a magical boat ride over to the island in the dark - you really feel like you're arriving somewhere secluded and special. It's a graceful property; the rooms, restaurant, spa and pool areas are all beautiful in a pared back style. The staff are plentiful and attentive. While it's a classy resort it's also relaxed and friendly - it was fun to get around the island on bicycles. A perfect place to retreat from the heat and hubbub of the city and really relax.

This place is in my heart forever. First of all I like the town Can Tho a lot. Not as crowded as Ho Chi Min, not as touristic as Hoi An and there is a lot to see and to do here. And then the resort Azarai. For my work I stay a lot in hotels but this is truly one of the best hotels I have stayed in. We stayed here 4 nights and because we stayed that long we got some very nice extra’s as a complimentary massage of 30 min and some drinks and snacks. The location is perfect. An island just in front of the centre of Can Tho. So if you want you can visit the town also in the evening very easily but if you want to have some peace it is just a 5 min boatride to the resort. The design is simple but gorgious . And the lay out of the bungalows good. Only thing what could be better is some more space for your clothes/luggage. The service is perfect. Patti and Dung and there staff give a very good and personal service. The food is outstanding, fresh and tastefully. We also liked the gym and the spa facilities a lot. During our yoga session I learned a lot about breathing techniques, very useful. I cannot recommend people enough to visit beautiful Can Tho and the amazing Azarai.

Azerai Can Tho is located on a private island near the largest beautiful bridge over a river of the Mekong Delta. It is near the floating market and surrounded by wonderful scenery. The hotel is new and eco friendly. The swimming pools are amazing and the staff is so friendly and always up to a chat. The Vietnamese restaurant chef is top class and offers high quality food. The breakfast menu is amazing. Every day there is a complimentary afternoon tea, sometimes located under a huge banyan tree. There is also a western grill restaurant. The Spa and fitness center are great. We did a complimentary sunset boat tour organized by the hotel and had a wide variety of snacks and drinks. Peaceful and pleasant experience. When travelling to the mekong delta this hotel is perfect to experience the life on the rivers!

Azerai Can Tho is seductively sedate and beautifully secluded (on an islet, accessible only by boat); almost ten hectares of modern beauty set by Hau River, complete with a lotus-flecked lake and dotted with banyan trees. The decision to leave the premises and explore the quaint town was a tug of war between work and play that I was not prepared to have, which only seeks to reaffirm the resort’s undeniable charm and captivating hold (on me). The staff are genuine, the GM affable, and the hospitality second to none. f you are ever in Can Tho, this is the resort to book.

Azerai Can Tho is a magic place. Service staff is excellent, rooms are spacious and really comfortable. We took the ones with view on the pond and I'd definitely recommend it. We played tennis next to Mekong river, it was awesome.

It’s very quiet and beautiful resort, but with almost everything you need. One thing impressed me most which set Azerai Can Tho apart from other luxury resorts is its management team! Mr. Vuko, the GM, was among the first of staff to greet us upon our arrival, and he was also there to see us off at the pier. We were so happy to see him everyday and Having him there feel like being taken care of by an old friend. Mr. Vuko worked at other Aman resorts, he certainly brought Aman level of services to Azerai! When Patty, assist to Mr. Vuko (also a manager), Heard that our flights were cancelled, she helped us find new option. The Food there is scrumptious. We loved their a la carte breakfast menu. They serve the best avocado smoothie I’ve ever had! I can not say enough good things about them. The only regret is 5days is not enough! I highly recommend Azerai Can Tho, will certainly go back there for a longer stay, and bring my family!

I very like this resort design. It is very luxury decor and many kind of tree in garden. Some rooms has private swimming pool also. The bar is so comfortable when you take your time to enjoy peaceful sightseeing: drink something and swim in the biggest swimming pool. It is nice resort to stay.

We did a 3 night escape from Saigon (~4hd drive), and we didn't regret it for one second. We had been eyeing the azerai can tho for many months, but never got a chance to go. It looked beautiful, a resort style accomodation in an unexpected location (Can Tho / Mekong), rather than the usual Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Mui Ne, Ho Tram ... The photos looked great, the reviews were so positive; expectations were very high - and they pulled through. Firstly, service was very professional, you could see the staff were very well trained; actually it was flawless from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. They understood our requests and were were always accommodating. The management team was very present. The resort has a beautiful architecture and design, materials are of good quality, everything is well finished, and well maintained. The food exceeded expectations; from breakfast through lunch and dinner. The selection was also a nice mix of international, Vietnamese & Indian. We could enjoy the a-la-carte breakfast included in our room rate either in our rooms or at the restaurant; huge plus. Dinner, in the restaurant, under the banyan tree, next to the lake; a new experience each evening. The price, was as expected - high but not obnoxious and justified given the quality of everything. And no gouging on silly things like water (free!) and even proactively served at the pool when we sat down. Would highly recommend and looking forward to going back.
