Myself and my wife stayed for 5 days in January. Mango Bay lived up to what we expected. It was charming, high quality, lovely food, lovely helpful staff. It was a joy to be there in this eco-friendly resort hotel, lots of space , two restaurants and a lovely beach. You felt you we’re away from it all. Also had a couple of massages in their spa centre, which were just wonderful

Having decided to travel into Vietnam for our holiday this year. We were not disappointed. Phu Quoc and Mango Bay in particular was above our expectations. We had been told that Phu Quoc was one of the only places in Vietnam where you could see the sunset and boy what a fabulous one it was. The fisherman’s seaside villa we stayed in was so natural looking from the outside but the attention to detail inside was perfect. Ceiling fan, floor fan and an air conditioning sheet thing above our bed should we have needed it. Every night the mosquito net was lowered and the four poster bed so comfy with luxury linen and fluffy pillows. The outdoor shower was stunning as it’s lovely to shower amongst pretty plants and birds tweeting. The new spa was stunning with a good choice of treatments. I had a hot stone massage that was the best one I’d ever had so huge bonus points there! Food was amazing serving the same menu in both restaurants over looking the sea, including delicious original cocktails or fruit juice concoctions. Service was very good and the breakfasts full of choices. All in all a fantastic stay and I would highly recommend this resort for anyone wanting peace and tranquility with great comfort

I could comment (again) on all the great features of this resort that have been commented on before by many other people, but what would be the point? So let me add something that I have not seen mentioned before: The playlist of music at the Beach Restaurant during dinner is absolutely outstanding: it even featured (the original) Joy Division, which is certainly not an obvious choice, but worked a charm (whether Ian Curtis would approve, I don't know). Full disclosure: we stayed at a Beach Villa, which was extremely nice; cannot comment on the other room types

We had a nice, large villa, with loads of space, clean and tidy. Access to nice and private beach. Good restaurants. English-speaking reception. Possibility for cash exchange in the reception. Very kind and helpful staff. Very very good breakfast buffet, with freshly cooked breakfast, freshly made coffee, etc. Excellent all in all. Would happily recommend

It’s an absolutely beautiful resort ... real care has been taken over the landscaping, the bungalows, the restaurants, spa, etc. I’d definitely recommend it ... more expensive than a lot of the places in Phu Quôc, but definitely worth it ... lots of nice touches ... private beach, free kayaks & swimming/beach equipment, free tai chi / yoga and other activities.

It was as if an orchestra played - crisp air that kissed the sea waves, caressed your face, the leaves in the forest rustled hauntingly, the birds chirped in celebration, a gentle banter of high profile guests caused a buzz in On The Rocks, the restaurant on the rocks in the sea where lip smacking cuisine waited to be curated for you by an obliging staff. An exclusive seaside resort, elusive or if you'd like, reclusive! An ever smiling Vivien would ensure the i's were dotted, Hahn would efficiently handle your itinerary. Some evenings you were entertained by Lauren with lilting live music at another restaurant on the beach. Super service spoiled you silly. Best way to holiday. Left a piece of me behind

Upon trying to find a restaurant near here which we saw and hated our taxi driver Mr Thin ( no kidding) recommended us to go here to the Mango Bay. Upon being greeted by Vivienne the" boss"even though the boss was sat nearby with his father was just what you needed after stumbling along in the dark garden. A pleasure to eat drink and enjoy the magnificent sunsets here. The food service tranquility etc second to non. We discovered that they where reopening another restaurant the next night and wangled a booking to get in through the boss whom promised me a beer the next night, I am still waiting so we came back again in total for 3 nights running. A truly memorable place to eat and a FANTASTIC country to visit. Will be back after c 19 finishes. The review is late and I hope the pregnant husband and wife of your waiting staff had a delightful young baby

I can't say enough how we appreciated our stay at Mango Bay. We knew we were on to a good thing when the manager at our hotel in Can Tho enthused wildly about it when we said we where we were going. It's a small resort spread out along a rock headland with beaches either side. The resort is constructed so as to blend in with the countryside with everything single story. Our room was a "Superior Verandah Sea View". The rooms look very rustic from the outside, but are quite sophisticated on the inside, even having air conditioning as part of the 4-poster beds (whole room A/C wouldn't work as the rooms are quite open). The beach restaurant was closed when we were there due to Covid-19, but the main restaurant was wonderful, great cocktails (I recommend the passion fruit mojito), and a wide range of specials changing daily. Worth getting there in time for some cocktails watching the sunset before dinner. The staff were worth a special mention, they were fantastic throughout our stay. We were unfortunate to travel just as Covid-19 was really hitting, and had to cut short our stay in Vietnam to get home while we still could. The staff were very accommodating to our frequent changes of plan as flights cancelled on us, and helped us with our travel arrangements. Despite the problems Covid-19 created for everyone they made sure that their guests still had a wonderful stay. We'll be coming back to Vietnam to complete the trip we had planned as soon as it's sensible to travel, and Mango Bay will be top of our list of places to return
