Our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel or the confirmed meeting point. This will be a 2-hour drive to Ninh Binh, which is about 110 km to the south of Hanoi.
If you have watched the blockbuster Kong: Skull Island, you may realize that Van Long Nature Reserve is the backdrop of the movie. The stunning limestone karsts and grottoes rising from the emerald water are otherworldly in a way — something out of an epic fantasy film, with dragons and monks and scenes of mythical beauty.
Hop on a rowboat for a delightful trip around this wetland (about 1.5 hours), you will have the opportunity to admire the amazing limestone mountains with different shapes like scratching cat, bookcase, raspberry, etc..
At the next stop in Gia Hung village, you can take a bike tour along the dike of Boi river (8 km) to explore the local community and its surrounding areas.
After that, we head to Nho Quan village to have lunch with the friendly locals. Then, we go to Hoa Lu ancient capital - the first capital of Vietnam. The area was chosen because the limestone formations surrounding the site were a stalwart natural defense against the Chinese.
Transfer to your hotel in Ninh Binh. Dinner on your own account. Overnight stay at the hotel.

It is a refuge for a large array of plants and animals. The national park also hosts Endangered Primate Rescue Center (EPRC), which is home to around 180 primates representing 15 species. Some of the critically endangered Cat Ba Langur, Delacour’s Langur, and the Grey-Shanked Douc Langur are the first of their species to be born in captivity. In addition, Cuc Phuong is also an ideal place for bird-watching as you can see tropical bird flocks coming from anywhere in the jungle.
If you visit the park in April and May, the butterfly season, you should be blessed with the chance to see literally thousands of vibrant butterflies coming in all shapes and sizes.
The next destination is Cave of Prehistoric Man, where human skeletons, human graves, stone axes, pointed bone spears, oyster shell knives, and tools for grinding dating back 7,500 years ago.
