Day-01 EMBARKATION IN LUANG PRABANG

When you arrive in Luang Prabang, present at the RV Mekong Sun Cruise – a boutique-style vessel, for check-in. Have a look at your cabin and put your luggage in there so that you can follow the guide exploring the city’s spotlights. Among the famous destinations that many tourists had come, Wat Xieng Thong temple with a charming look and stunning design is well worth a visit.

After the exciting tour, you shall travel back to the boat and have a pleasant time on deck or in the lounge. Then, let’s join in the greeting party on board before savouring in the delicious dinner that deliver the flavor of Asian and European. Then, spend the night on the RV Mekong Cruise.

Day-02 DEPARTURE FROM LUANG PRABANG

Wake up early to enjoy the breathtaking sunrise over the river and mark a good start to your day. You can enter the city to witness the most impressive ritual that can hardly be found anywhere else: the alms giving ceremony. Every morning, hundreds of monks walk on foot through the main streets of Luang Prabang, and the Buddhists will give the offerings.

Then, back to the boat as your stomach hunger for a sumptuous breakfast. We keep cruising southwards until reaching the anchorage site. Spend the night on board.

Day-03 WILD NATURE ALONG THE MIGHTY MEKONG

Today, the RV Mekong Sun Cruise will enter further downstream. While the ship is moving, enjoy the brilliant scene of the magnificent river and the local lifestyle alongside the river bank. As far as the boat goes, as more stunning the landscape is. The beautiful tropical vegetation and rock formations that exist along the riversides are the spotlights of the wilderness view.

After that, you will have a chance to meet one typical local community which is supported by Mekong sun cruise’s passengers. Then, take our time to enjoy this chocolate-box scenery before the cruise heading southwards. Spend the night on board.

Day-04 KUANG SI WATERFALLS

If you are intrigued by the mysterious beauty of the waterfall, then in Laos, you will have a chance to admire one of the most stunning waterfalls: Kuang Si. In the morning, after breakfast, the cruise continues upstream. Enjoy the morning lifestyle of the locals, fishermen onshore. After a few hours cruising, we will disembark for a trip to Kuang Si fall by tuk-tuk. Stroll on the trail around the waterfall to catch the pristine beauty from different angles.

Then we will travel back to the RV Mekong Sun Cruise and pass through Luang Prabang. Feel great to have a delicious BBQ dinner on board while enjoying the gorgeous view.

Day-05 THE PAK OU CAVES

Pak Ou cave is stunning with thousands of Buddha images which are various from sizes and shapes. Today, you are going to explore this remarkable cave. Then, you can walk through a small jungle to meet the indigenous villages (optional), where is the master of producing Lao-Lao, local liqueur.

You can purchase some goods as a souvenir there and communicate with the locals. Then, we will head back to the ship and you may see the elephants en route. Relax and enjoy the view while we again travel to Luang Prabang.

In the afternoon, you can join the interesting mount Phou Si hiking and catch some pictures of the panorama from the top.

In the evening, why don’t you take a short walk along the Mekong riverside or search for some cool items at the vibrant local or Hmong ethnic minority ethnic markets? Return to the boat and join the farewell feast with the charming traditional Baci – ceremony.

Day-06 DISEMBARKATION

Fill your stomach with delicious breakfast and then, check your cabin carefully in virtue of ending the cruising tour. As you disembark the RV Mekong Sun Cruise, you will be driven to the hotel or the airport. The tour ends here!

Mekong Sun Cruise Policy

1. Deposit

Cancellations made 130 days or more prior to departure: charge 30% of total price
Cancellations made 130 to 70 days or more prior to departure: charge 50% of total price
Cancellations made 70 to 35 days or more prior to departure: charge 70% of total price
Cancellations made less than 35 days or more prior to departure: charge 90% of total price

2. Payment Conditions

In order to make a booking, 30% of deposit is required. The full payment must be completed 45 days before the departure. Failure will result in cancellation of the booking.
For overdue bills, 5% of the interest per month will be applied. Top Mekong Cruises takes zero responsibilities for bank surcharges for international transactions. Bank surcharges must be paid by the money sender.
Our bank details will be advised depend on confirmation of your reservation. Overseas payment shall be done by telegraphic transfer. Credit Card payment is also acceptable with an additional 3% of the invoicing amount.

I was kindly asked to write some feedback by Gam, so here it is! first I want to thank her, this girl is really is easy to work with and every request of us was considered. About the trip itself. I myself think that it's quite rush to see the whole of Vietnam, but it's a safe choice to visit Vietnam the first time. You will taste the most signature dishes in the main regions, see some of highlighted attractions,.. so you will know which to go and to see next time you return. (For me it will be the northern region!)
