Our today’s excursion will take you around Bangkok, which is also known by the name “the city of golden temples."

Start with a visit to the Grand Palace, which consists of 3 major sections: the Royal Palace, Royal Office and pagodas (Wat) constructed in the 1970s of the 18th century. Wat Phu Khao Thong is a great pagoda standing in the heart of rice fields. Atop the pagoda situates a tall chedi gilded in gold, which constitutes the noticeable appearance of the structure. Wat Phra Sri Sanphet was of highest importance among other temples in Ayutthaya, consisting of 3 Ceylonese-styled towers rising high next to each other. Inside a pagoda called Vihara Phra Mongkhon Bophit, there is a copper Buddha image placed in the gesture of subduing Mara. This is among the largest Buddha statues in the country.

Wat Lokaya Sutha is well-known for its descending Buddha statue, which makes this place become a holy ground where many pilgrims gather. In addition, this relic is among the most crucial one in Wat Lokaya Sutha.
