4 Day Highlight of Chiang Mai

Our today Family Holidays tour will take us to the beautiful countryside, out of the beaten tracks, passing through the scenic road. It will be a relaxing drive for those who love nature and rustic countryside. On the way, we will stop for a short visit to the village of Karen, where we can learn the unique lifestyle, the tradition and interesting culture of the small group of hill tribe villagers. 

Next, we will arrive at the elephant camp. Through the guidance of the professional trainers, you will know the interesting info of how they train the elephants. Not just learn theory, you can also bathe, feed and play with these wonderful creatures. A ride to the stunning waterfall is also provides if you wish.

In the afternoon, head back to your hotel. Overnight to recover energy for an epic tomorrow tour.

Today’s highlight is the cooking class, where we will learn how to make tasty local dishes and enjoy our self - made lunch, this is a special experience in the itinerary of Asia Private Travels.

In the morning, the driver will collect you at the hotel and take you to the local market, where to buy cooking ingredients and get to know some Thai herbs and vegetables. As we have all the ingredients in the basket, we will then go to Baan Hong Nual cooking school. Accompanied with you is an experienced local chef. You will get instructed to prepare different Thai cuisines and then have lunch with dishes you have made.
 
The evening tour will take you to the Wat Phra That Doi Suthep mountain temple which is a nice viewpoint over the entire town and the neighborhood. After that, we will head to the downtown and take a trishaw – a popular means of transport in Asia through the old district in Chiang Mai. Before heading for the Wat Chedi Luang to explore its magnificent pagoda, we will arrive at Wat Phrasing – where to keep the magnificent wood carvings of the beautiful Lai Kham Chapel. As the day tour comes to an end, it is a good time to take a stroll around the local market and feel the town at its vibrant moments.
