Day 1

Siem Reap Arrival

Welcome to Siem Reap with Asia Private Travels. As soon as you land at the airport, our local guide and driver will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel for check-in. You are free to use the room from 2:00pm. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Meals at your expense. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 2

Angkor – Banteay Srei – Ta Prohm

Breakfast will be served at your hotel. Kich off on our tour today, we will pay a visit to Angkor Wat Temple, which is the largest and most venerable religious work in the Angkor Archaeological Site. 

Angkor temple complex was erected in the 12th century under the ruling time of King Suryavarman II. It is considered as a symbol of Cambodia, which is not only one of the seven wonders of the world recognized by UNESCO, but also the greatest legacy of the Khmer people.

Angkor Wat is located about 6 km to the north of Siem Reap which was intentionally built to worship Vishnu (Hinduism) but then converted to a Buddhist temple. The entire architectural complex consists of outstanding bas - reliefs  and ancient sculptures.

Our next attraction is Banteay Srei located quite far from the center of Angkor complex. The whole temple is a stunning rock art with delicate and intricate embossments. It was constructed primarily from red sandstone with the elaborate decorative sculptures on the walls, which are still visible today. Every piece of wall, every sculpture at Banteay Srey contributes to describe a unique and ancient story.

Afterwards, we will set foot in the ancient monastery of Ta Prohm. You will be immersed in the majestic natural scenery as well as the monumental architecture. Ta Prohm Temple was ignored for a long time and hidden several mysterious stories.

You will find it really exciting to explore the unique structure and splendid stone carvings of the temple.

Day 3

Preah Khan – Neak Pean – Thommanon – Chau Say Tevoda – Angkor Thom

Breakfast will be served at the hotel. Today, our classic journey will start at Preah Khan Temple, one of the largest complexes in Angkor. Although it was devastated and ruined by the time, a great number of carvings and decorations of the Buddha status still exist. The temple was restored carefully to keep the intact beauty, so you will find it really ancient and impressive.

Neak Pean Island is the only island temple of Angkor with the simple and gentle beauty imbued in the classical ambiance. Coming here, your curiosity will be satisfied with many thrilling legends as well as the ancient architecture. The combination between the unique work of Cambodia and the beautiful scenery evokes a great feeling for the visitors.

Our next stops are Thommanon and Chau Say Tevoda. Although both temples are quite small, they own the tremendously beauty in Angkor. The most prominent feature of the temple is not from the architecture, but from the stunning statues of Shiva and Vishnu.

In the afternoon, we will move to Angkor Thom. Besides the majestic Angkor Wat temple, Angkor Thom is also a mysterious attraction that attracts a great number of tourists visiting Cambodia on a yearly basis. It is not only known as the magnificent capital of the Angkor Empire but the most beautiful, long -  standing and the pride of the citizens here. 

The National Temple of Jayavarman and the Bayon Temple are sited in the Angkor Thom central with many other relics around the Victory Square.

You will have a great chance to observe numerous  ancient sculptures as well as to know more about the cultural and spiritual value of Cambodia.

Day 4

Siem Reap – Flight to Sihanoukville

Transfer:

Breakfast will be served at the hotel. This morning, you will be free to discover the bustling Pub Street or Old Central Market in Siem Reap until your transfer to the airport for the flight to Sihanoukville. As soon as you land, our local driver will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel for check in. 

The rest of the day is at your own leisure. You can explore the fine sandy beach or stroll around the city at night.

Day 5

One Day Tour to Ream National Park

Transfer:

Breakfast will be served at the hotel. Today morning, we will depart to Preah Sihanouk “Ream National Park”, which is prominent for one of seven national parks in Cambodia. It was founded by his Majesty Norodom Sihanouk in 1993 and then 2 years later, it was officially inaugurated. The park is described as an amazing picture of stunning natural submerge forests, tropical jungle, several distinct species of birds including some species at the edge of extinction such as the Lesser Adjutant, Milky and woolly-necked storks as well as the gorgeous white freshwater dolphin.

The mangrove-lined Prek Toeuk Sap River is also home to the milky and adjutant storks and kingfishers, which are regularly spotted on the river trips. You will have a chance to see many monkeys, some mammals like deer, wild pig and fishing cats. 

Moreover, there are lovely typical stilted houses of some fishing families in the park located on the river. This trip is a perfect combination of the relaxing stay on some of the most exclusive beaches in Cambodia and the amazing natural experience which guarantees a special exploration to the wildlife of the southern Cambodia. To help you to gain the best experiences, a friendly park ranger will be your guide who knows the park profoundly.

In the afternoon, return to hotel in Sihanoukville for leisure.

Day 6

Sihanoukville – Kampot – Countryside Bamboo Bike Tour

Breakfast will be served at the hotel. Today morning, you’ll be transferred to Kampot - another beautiful city in southern Cambodia.

Here, you will have a fascinating exploration around rural areas by a unique bamboo mountain bike. Enjoy yourself with the slow pace of life and the fresh atmosphere. A bike journey through the lush Kampot countryside with your skillful biking instructor offers you a chance to immerse yourself in the majestic nature, lovely small villages and have a great journey through the remote areas of Cambodia. 

These special bikes are provided by the NGO organization -  Mekong Creations in order to help the local to improve their living standard. The bamboo bikes feature as the mountain bikes that offer a comfortable and flexible feel for riders. Each of them is equipped with reliable and branded parts. You can choose to take your favorite biking routes including the lesser - known tracks (upon request).

Because of the fact that this cycling tour is taken in the remote areas, a support vehicle and a bike trailer will be accompanied with you during the journey in case of emergency. Moreover, an experienced and professional English speaking guide will escort you in the whole trip.

Joining in this special tour, you will have a chance to ride through the rice harvests, salt farms, local villages and pepper plantations as well as save a lot of wonderful pictures of the Cambodian life.

Day 7

Stand - Up Paddle Boarding Around Kampot – Kep – Pepper Plantation

Breakfast will be served at the hotel. Today is a promising day with many outdoor activities in the itinerary of Asia Private Travels. Join in the amazing 2,5 hours for Stand-up.

Paddleboarding, or known as SUP. This activity is perfectly designed for intrepid explorers who is willing to try something new as well as experience nature in a totally different way. Visitors only need to learn some basic skills at this beginner course to sail to paddle through the verdant mangrove forest outside Kampot observing the local life and regional animals .

Afterwards, we continue to move to Kep where is famous for the world class’s pepper standard. When you arrive at the destination, join in an exhilarating exploration to the pepper plantation. 

Pepper is the first product of Cambodia having the benefit from the World Trade Association status of Protected Geographical Indication. Other well - known examples are Champagne from the region of the Champagne in France, or Parma Ham from the Italian town of Parma. 

Our tour today will be guided by a knowledgeable and friendly host who will explain to you the whole process of making peppers from collecting them from the shrubs to drying and packaging. You can also have a chance to learn how to characterize the different types of peppers. Don’t miss a chance to select some pepper products as gifts for your friends and family back home.

Day 8

Kep – Phnom Penh Sightseeing

Breakfast will be served at the hotel before we leave Kep to Phnom Penh this morning. We will have a scenic drive about 170 km - 3.5 hours of driving. During our trip, there are several stops for you to capture the stunning photos, admire rural scenery as well as explore the weaving techniques of a local village near Chisor. We will arrive in Phnom Penh at around noon for check - in at the hotel. 

In the afternoon, you can visit  Phnom Penh city, which is Cambodia’s capital located at the confluence of the four branches of the Mekong river. 

Cambodia has two most famous tourist destinations: Siem Reap and Phnom Penh capital. If Siem Reap owns the overwhelming Angkor Wat, Phnom Penh owns the Royal Palace - a "must go" point. It was erected in 1866 by King Norodom, including distinct and separate structures grouped together in one enclosure that created a significant collection of Khmer art. Here, you’ll also be captivated by the Silver Pagoda where is home to a 90kg - golden Buddha encrusted with 9584 diamonds as well as a 17th century Buddha image decorated with emeralds and Baccarat crystal.
