Meticulously crafted from the Ahlone Shipyard near Yangon city by a team of experts with years of experience and took a full year for her to become the elegant beauty that she is today. Check-in time is at 11:00 AM at Koe Lone Ye Kin Jetty. Then the ship will leave at 11:30 AM. Welcomed by the hotel staff with a refreshing drink. The lunch will follow shortly.
AFTERNOON TOUR: Salay
This afternoon, the first shore excursion begins in Salay – a quaint, little town that saw the first settlement in the 13th century – the neighbor town of the spiritual land of Bagan. Here you can find the gorgeous colonial buildings as the influence of the British. Keep walking until stop at a local market at its busiest time of the day. Move forward to the incredible Yoke Soun Kyaung Taw Gyi teak monastery which is now a museum that displays intricate carvings and precious artifacts. Finish off the day with a trip to Mann Paya, a pagoda famous for its lacquered Buddha Image. Then return back on board for overnight.

Day 2

MORNING TOUR: Bagan
The morning excursion begins with the glimmering Shwezigon Pagoda built under the rule of King Anawrahta who signed the beginning of the Buddhism in the country. Continue to Htilominlo which was built by the king of the same name. Final stop of the morning is the Thatbyinnyu Pagoda – the tallest monument in the Bagan plain – for some photos before going back to the ship.
AFTRNOON TOUR: Bagan
Finishing lunch, first place to see is Gubyaukgyi Temple of which walls are covered in incredible murals and frescos dated back the 12th century. Travel a short distance to the gilt Myazedi Stupa that contain inscriptions of old and obscure languagues (Pyu, Mon, Old Burmese and Pali). Then, visit the famous Ananda Temple which is one of the oldest temples in Bagan that still retains most of it original state and contain the four Buddha images that face north, south, east, west. Final pagoda of the day is the Dhammayangyi Pagoda the biggest pagoda here for some photos and lastly is the viewing hill for the spectacular view of the plain.

BAGAN - RIVER VILLAGE

MORNING TOUR: Bagan
Today begin with a tour to the market which is busiest during the morning and find the wide range of products being displayed and sold here. Then we make the trip to a lacquerware workshop to learn about the ancient technique. 
AFTERNOON TOUR: River Village
Continue the cruise upstream for the afternoon until we reach a typical village by the river for a brief visit.
A traditional marionette show will be after the dinner.

MORNING TOUR: Yandabo

The ship continues sailing upstream for the duration of the afternoon until it reaches Myin Mu.

MONYWA-SAGAING

FULL DAY TOUR: Monywa
Early morning today, take the one hour and a half trip to Monywa. Tour the famous Po Win Taung Pagoda with its complex cave system. The pagoda also houses many beautiful Buddha Images with colorful murals cover the interior.
Lunch will be at the restaurant in Win Unity Hotel. Then after, journey to the majestic Sambuddhai Kat Kyaw Pagoda – home to more than 500,000 Buddha Images.
Take a drive back on board by the riverbank for the night.

Day 6
AVA-SAGAING-AMARAPURA

MORNING TOUR: Ava
Enjoy the special horse-cart tour today to the ancient capital of Ava. First visit is the wonderful teak Bagaya Monastery and then the brick Me Nu Ok Kyaung Monastery. After, go back to the ship to continue sailing to Sagaing.
AFTERNOON TOUR: Sagaing – Amarapura
The afternoon will begin with a trip to Sagaing Hill – the heart of Buddhism in Myanmar – that contains many religious monuments and houses thousands of monks and nuns. By coach, we will reach Amarapura later to a silk weaving workshop and finally U-Bein Bridge just in time for sunset.
Return back on board for dinner and overnight.

Day 7
MINGUN-CENTRAL MANDALAY

MORNING TOUR: Mingun
After breakfast on board, leave the ship for a light walking trip through the town of Mingun. First visit of the day is the unfinished stupa of King Bodawpaya due to a fortune that say upon completion the king would die. If the monument had been finished, it would be the largest pagoda in the world. Continue strolling to Mingun Bell one of the largest bell in the world that can be rung. Along the way, you can browse the countless vendors for some paintings or keychains. 
Return back on board for lunch.
AFTERNOON TOUR: Central Mandalay
This afternoon will be spent to discover the best highlights of Mandalay. First off is the Mahamuni Pagoda with the impressive gilt Buddha Image. Continue to the gold leaf making and marble carving workshop nearby. Make a short trip by coach to Kuthodaw Pagoda – the world’s largest book near the Mandalay Hill. Of course we will take the elevator up to the top of the hill to visit the pagoda here and enjoy the panoramic sunset view over the region.
Return back on board afterward.

Then go down to Kuthodaw Pagoda – the world’s largest book and Shwenandaw Monastery or Golden Palace Monastery. Continue to the gold leaf making workshop nearby.
AFTERNOON TOUR: Amarapura
First off is the Mahamuni Pagoda with the impressive gilt Buddha Image and the marble carving street nearby. Visit Amarapura to see a weaving workshop and the process. Finally, go to U-Bein Bridge to watch the sunset. Then return back on board for the night.

After finishing lunch, the ship arrives in Ahmyint Village. Take a light stroll and observe the fascinating buildings that is unique in their 17th century style. Continue to Min Kyaw Swa Stupas and see paintings with 18th century style. Afterward, we move by coach to Thanbodda Pagoda and Bawdhi Tadaung Pagoda for visit. Return back to the ship in the late afternoon.

This morning, journey to Po Win Taung and Shwe Ba Taung cave pagodas with their complex connecting system that houses hundreds of Buddha Images. There are many wonderful ancient murals that paints a colorful and lively light to these pagodas. If time allows, we will stop at a local village for a brief visit before returning back on board for lunch.

After sailing, late morning today, we will make trip to Kanee Village and take on the hillside village to get the reward of the incredible view of the surroundings. Return back on board for lunch.

Afternoon today, visit Kin – another typical village with many modest but charming wooden houses and monastery. The ship docks overnight near this village.

Spend the morning in Kalewa with its rich history and cultures as a former trading port. Browse the local market to truly see the most authentic experience of the local people. Then take a climb up to Shwe Moat Htaw stupa for spectacular view of the town and the river. Back on board just in time for lunch.

The afternoon will be spent leisurely on board as the ship sails to Mawlaik.

MORNING TOUR: Mawlaik
After breakfast, leave the ship for Mawlaik that is not too far from the Indian Border. This town used to be a British Administrative Capital with the pleasant climate and lush teak forest surrounding. Then visit the golf course and office from the colonial era that used to be of Bombay Burmah Trading Company. After a full orientation tour we return back on board.

This afternoon, the ship makes the U turn back to Monywa.

Check-in time is at 9:00 AM at Koe Lone Ye Kin Jetty. Then the ship will leave at 9:30 AM. Welcomed by the hotel staff with a refreshing drink. The morning will be spent leisurely on board.
AFTERNOON TOUR: Pakokku
As you reach the Irrawaddy River. We reach Pakokku – an ordinary town by the river near Bagan. Here you can have the chance to visit the cheroot and slipper workshops to see and learn about the process. 
We then enter the Chindwin River for overnight.

AFTERNOON TOUR: Ahmyint Village & Monywa
After finishing lunch, the ship arrives in Ahmyint Village. Take a light stroll and observe the fascinating buildings that is unique in their 17th century style. Continue to Min Kyaw Swa Stupas and see paintings with 18th century style. Afterward, we move by coach to Thanbodda Pagoda and Bawdhi Tadaung Pagoda for visit. Return back to the ship in the late afternoon.

MORNING TOUR: Monywa
This morning, journey to Po Win Taung and Shwe Ba Taung cave pagodas with their complex connecting system that houses hundreds of Buddha Images. There are many wonderful ancient murals that paints a colorful and lively light to these pagodas. If time allows, we will stop at a local village for a brief visit before returning back on board for lunch.

After sailing, late morning today, we will make trip to Kanee Village and take on the hillside village to get the reward of the incredible view of the surroundings. Return back on board for lunch.

Afternoon today, visit Kin – another typical village with many modest but charming wooden houses and monastery. The ship docks overnight near this village.

On the agenda this afternoon is the quaint town of Mingin. Stop here to discover the wooden temples, houses and learn about the local life in remote land. Final stop is the Min Kyaung Monastery which protects the ancient Buddha Images. Return back to more sailing and the ship docks overnight in a village nearby.

MORNING TOUR: Kyidaw & Kan
Today, we start off with a trip to Kyidaw or Kyi Taung Oo to see the Shwe Za War Yaw Monastery which is one of the oldest and closest to the original state wood monastery in the country. The afternoon will be spent leisurely on board. The ship will reach Mandalay in the afternoon.

1. River Conditions Warning

The Irrawaddy and Chindwin rivers are subject to seasonal rises and falls of water level. So that an alternative itinerary will be offered to Passenger in the case of water levels being too high or low.

Published itineraries are indication only and subject to sudden change. In such events alternative itineraries will be provided and we do our best to ensure that if a stop is missed we make up for it with another stop.

The ship’s manager and captain are jointly responsible for passengers’ comfort and safety.

Passengers must accept their decisions and instructions.

2. Deposit

To secure the booking a 30% deposit is required at the time of confirmation. The remaining balance will be made 70 days prior departure date.

If a booking is made less than 70 days, full fare payment must be made within 48 hours.

3. Cancellation Terms

The cancellation notice must be received in writing either by e-mail or fax. It will be effective on the date of receipt. Cancellation charges, per person, are based upon the date of cancellation:

Up to 71 days prior to departure: Deposit will be forfeited.

From 70-35 days: 50% of cruise fare

From 34 days to “no show”: 100% of cruise fare

4. Children Policy

Up to 2 years: Complimentary in the parent/guardian’s cabin.

3-12 Years: if the child stays in the cabin with one of the parents/guardians 50% of the twin-sharing rate. Upon request we can provide an Extra Bed at US$ 90 net per bed/ night.

5. Minimum Occupancy

For all departures should the occupancy be less than 10 passengers for Short Discovery Cruise and 12 passengers for Exploration and Discovery Cruises the Company reserves the right to cancel the cruise up to 60 days prior the departure date. A confirmation notice in writing will be released by the company to all booked clients and/or their agents within the deadline. In case of cancellation an alternative cruise will be offered and if not acceptable all down payments will be immediately refunded.

6. Insurance

We strongly advise travelers to purchase trip cancellation insurance. We also highly recommend guests to get international medical, baggage loss and delay insurance in the case of bad situations. Paukan Cruise will take no responsibility for lost or stolen personal belongings.
